Why Not Volunteer?

There are lots of reasons – some of them valid! – that followers of Jesus may not want to engage in social media.   

Some of same things were said about radio, TV, movies and the Internet.   

But they all have been redeemed… put to good use to enlarge God’s Kingdom on earth.   

The reason to volunteer to become part of the Missions Engagement Group is to help do the same with social media.   

But in less grandiose terms, volunteering means growing closer to missionaries and their accounts of how God is using them – often in miraculous ways.  So volunteering means being encouraged by seeing God at work up close, vicariously through our missionaries.   

Also, we learn more about God and how He works this way and we are challenged to live more by faith like our missionaries do.   

Finally, volunteers today will encourage the volunteers of tomorrow, eventually moving the missions culture of Black Rock to include engaging along with going, giving and praying.
